About Us
GrassrootsLab specializes in local government outreach and communications in California. Founded in 2008 by Mike Madrid and Robb Korinke, the firm is currently co-located in Sacramento and Southern California.
In addition to numerous local officials and candidates, our firm maintains ongoing client relationships with several key statewide organizations in the local government world, and through online assets maintains a weekly communication channel with local government stakeholders across the state.
Also, having crafted and executed statewide campaigns for many of the central issues in local government -- including Proposition 1A (2004) and Proposition 22 (2010) – GrassrootsLab principles have the credibility and background to shape and deliver impactful messages to the municipal community.
GrassrootsLab has also conducted municipal outreach on behalf of organizations including Siemens, Southern California Edison, PG&E and other private entities looking to advocate and educate on the local level. Because of our close involvement with the above listed organizations, GrassrootsLab is uniquely positioned to interact with local government decision makers, including elected officials, city managers and other department heads in cities across the Los Angeles Division and the state.
Our firm’s principles are also responsible for the management of several “Corporate Partners” programs, including that of the League of California Cities and the Municipal Information Systems Association of California. These programs exist to establish and cultivate relationships between private firms and city officials and staff.
Client solutions we have implemented for private and non-profit entities include endorsements, ordinance drafting and implementation, issue education and general awareness campaigns.
